  Disgusted with this town and it's employees. The property taxes are outrageous, absolutely crooked town. Just a bunch of crooks. I will be selling my house and moving as soon as possible.

  Fast growing community that cares about it's residents and offers a sustainable alternative to the nearby 'big city' of Red Deer. Due to proximity, probably has a little less commercial development than other communities of similar population.

  Like everyone else in town I pay a borderline absurd amount in property taxes. I live just off Cottonwood Dr and the picture reasonably sums up what it looks like for the summer. There are also multiple dead trees, and the weeds go to seed and spread through everyones yards. My house is only 6 years old, so if you're shopping for a home in a new area of town you can expect it to be neglected as soon as a new residential area pops up.

  Horrible place to live. Police have nothing better to do than to harass hard working honest people. They will literally tell you what you can and can't do on your own property, as far as parking rv's and trailers go. Also property tax is outrageous for what you get back from it. Blackfalds is so far behind the times, that's why highschool kids are bused to Red Deer or Lacombe, and any medical related injuries you will be leaving blackfalds since all that is there is a walk in clinic. If you have a choice move to Red Deer or Lacombe, trust me!
